Ohio Services

In Ohio, FirstHand Care provides home and community care that helps individuals live safely and independently. Our Ohio programs are separate from our Kentucky Medicaid waiver services.

    Personal Care

    Assistance, prompts and training skills to help promote independence with bathing, grooming, hygiene, mobility assistance, transferring, toileting and incontinence care, feeding, and dressing assistance.

    Homemaking Care

    Assistance, prompts, and training skills with light housekeeping, meal preparation, grocery shopping, errands, laundry, and grooming guidance.

    Companionship Care

    Services will be therapeutic with social interactions in the community, relationship building, participation in the community, as well as supervision to doctor appointments.

    DODD Transportation and HPC

    Provide transportation to and from work sites, doctor appointments, shopping, entertainment, exercise, recreation or social activities.

  • A nurse organising a weekly medication set-up.

    Non-Skilled Nursing

    Implement and evaluate plan of care administer medicine, weekly set ups, provide medical education, vital signs, weights, and assessments in health status.

    Acquired Brain Injury - Residential Placement

    Adult Day Training, Respite, Supervised Residential Care (ABI LTC Only), Companion Services (ABI only), Personal Care (ABI) or Community Living Supports (ABI LTC)

High Quality Care

Firsthand Care Inc provides in-home services that can help prolong an aging, disability, intellectual and developmental disabilities person's ability to live independently and safely. From assistance with prompts, education, training skills from our properly trained staff will help our clients with daily living tasks to help promote self independence. Our goal is for individuals to live independently as possible with support with a helping hand. Our Nursing staff will assess the needs of our clients and create an individualized plan of care that will meet their needs.

Firsthand Care Inc is contracted with the Department of Development Disabilities for Ohio and Passport, Western Reserve on Aging, and MyCare Ohio.
